Patna Development Trust
The Patna Development Trust is currently forming as a community-led organisation with the aim of registering as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) currently awaiting charity status confirmation.

We’re at the beginning of an exciting journey to create a long-term, sustainable future for Patna. The Trust is being formed by local residents who care deeply about our village and want to make it a place where families can thrive, businesses can grow, and future generations can enjoy a vibrant, connected community. Our focus is on real development.
Projects that create jobs, bring visitors, and generate income that stays within the village. We’re currently forming as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and welcome everyone who shares our vision to get involved.

Our Mission: Develop renewable energy projects like solar, wind, and hydro that generate income for the community.
Create tourism opportunities (like self-catering lodges, walking and cycling trails, and riverside activities). Support local enterprise and training.
Make Patna a great place to raise families through improved facilities, services, and shared spaces.
Our founding members are local people who believe in Patna’s potential and want to see it flourish. We’ll share updates as we grow and welcome anyone who’d like to get involved as a member, volunteer, or future trustee. You can volunteer in person, behind the scenes and on as many or as little projects as you would like.
